Mercy and faithfulness have met;

justice and peace have embraced.

Faithfulness shall spring from the earth

and justice look down from heaven.

The Father is merciful and just.  The Son is faithful and peaceful.  They have met and are one from all eternity in the Son.  The Son springs from the earth and the Father looks down upon him.
