“What profit would my death be, my going to the grave?  Can dust give you praise or proclaim your truth?”

The two essential acts of the Christian: to give God praise and to proclaim his truth.  Corresponding to will and reason, the ways in which we are made in the image and likeness of God.  Christ taught us and gave us his flesh (John 6); the Good Shepherd is known by us, and we go in and go out and find pasture (John 10).  Heaven: a life of knowing our God and living with Him.
