And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.”

“Rejoice in the Lord always, I say it again – rejoice!”  We cannot rejoice in the Lord if our spirits rejoice in the world, for “you cannot serve both God and mammon.”  Also, we must be lowly to be able to rejoice in the Lord.  The alternative is death bearing gloom (Cassian, Conferences I) which is a sign of the evil one’s kingdom.  Rejoice in the Lord, our Savior!
