They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.

The name of God and the Lamb shall be on the forehead of the elect.  "And his name is called the Word of God"  (Revelation 19.13).  This designates the Logos as the sole owner of our intellect and contrasts with the damned whose minds are owned by Satan (Revelation 13.16).  Note that this is the final fulfillment of that seal of predestination placed on the foreheads of the elect by God's holy angels (Revelation 7.3).  It is a special task of the angels to bring God's light to our minds while we journey in faith on the earth.  When in heaven however this will consummate in God's very own name inscribed on us, to designate perfect and final ownership and complete submission of the servants to God.  What a glorious destiny.

We can begin to enjoy a foretaste of this glory even now by submitting our intellects in their entirety to faith in Jesus Christ, the Word of God.  Faith in Christ the Logos is the beginning of the redemption of the intellect in our fallen nature through him.  (The completion of that redemption is obedience to his holy will, which redeems our will in Him).  For Christ is called "Faithful" (Revelation 19.11) and in his perfect faithfulness we find salvation in Him of our intellect through faith.  Christ is also called "True" (Revelation 19.11) and in His perfect truthfulness, which was his perfect obedience to the Father, we find salvation in Him of our will through obedience.

"Come holy angels, mark this servant of God with a seal on his forehead this day, that he may have faith in Christ alone and submit his will entirely to the Logos."  Amen.
